All Hallows XIII Wood Sign - Gothic Raven Door Hanger

Some pieces announce a season. This one sets a mood before anyone reaches the handle. A cathedral arch, a perched raven, and two spread bat wings resolve into one continuous outline — composed, unhurried, quietly theatrical.

Design Story

The composition is strictly vertical and centered: spired tracery at the crown, a flaming heart-shaped jack-o'-lantern glowing at the core, candle forms and a hooded figure banked below, and two carved pumpkins anchoring the base. The palette is disciplined — burnt amber, ember orange, warm bronze against deep shadow — so the lit interior reads as the single focal point. Scalloped wing edges and openwork arches create a lacework perimeter, and that negative space is what gives the silhouette its rhythm. The engraved-looking plaque reading All Hallows XIII sits exactly where the eye lands last, a quiet typographic full stop.

Display & Styling

As a heteromorphic wood sign, the cut edge tracks the artwork itself — wingtips, spires, curling vines and pumpkin curves all belong to the outline rather than a frame. Mounted on a dark door or hung from its visible rope, the raised, carved-looking relief holds the wall at porch scale: a statement piece, not a sticker.
