Most rugs whisper. This one holds court. A stone fortress rises out of the center of the floor, framed by lions, crowns and crossed blades, and the whole thing reads like a tapestry that decided to lie down.

Design Story

The composition is doing classic medieval-manuscript work: a centered castle scene as the focal point, a bridge leading the eye straight up to the gatehouse, and a border of rampant lions, fleur-de-lis and shield medallions holding the edges. Colour is where it wins — deep oxblood, near-black navy and aged gold, kept low and warm so the detail rewards a second look instead of shouting. The crossed swords and helm sit in the corners like punctuation, and the shield at the base anchors the bottom edge so the design never feels like it's drifting.

Room & Styling

As a rug, the scale is the point. The castle motif is big enough to hold a room from standing height, while the border keeps a clean visual frame against pale flooring and light furniture. Centred under a seating group, it becomes the room anchor; left open, it reads as a full floor composition with nothing wasted.
