The split orange-and-green U is the single visual anchor, set high on the vamp with a clean white outline that lifts it off the tonal upper. Scale is judged well: large enough to read instantly on a rounded low surface, restrained enough to leave negative space across the toe. The collar introduces rhythm with a woven zigzag braid in orange, green, cream and gold, framed against a pale plush-looking lining. Side panels carry a secondary layer — arched collegiate lettering reading MIAMI over HURRICANES, plus a small U near the heel. That is textbook hierarchy: emblem first, wordmark second, accent third.
