Most floor art asks to be walked on. This one asks whether you dare. It is a round rug built around a single trick — the illusion of a shaft dropping straight through the floor into something old and unfriendly.

Design Story

The composition is textbook depth control. A heavy stone-block border wraps the outer ring, punctuated by four carved horned faces at the cardinal points, plus brass-toned moons, compasses and star discs holding the rhythm between them. Inside that frame, arched alcoves, hanging chains and small amber torch flames step inward in concentric rings, each layer smaller and cooler in tone. At the bottom of it all sits a horned figure lit by a pale blue glow, eyes catching the only warm light in the centre. The contrast does the heavy lifting: cold grey stone against orange flame, hard geometric border against smoky interior. That is why it reads as a hole rather than a picture.

Room & Styling

As a rug, the circular silhouette is the whole point — the shape and the artwork agree, so the illusion holds from across the room. Centred composition means it wants breathing space: open floor, a seating circle around it, nothing crowding the border. Viewed from standing height, the depth effect peaks. It is a statement floor piece, not a quiet accent.
